Our Classes
Folks, for complete beginners we have a new Salsa Level 1 Batch that starts on Saturday, 20th April 2024. All our classes are weekend batches – typically two one-hour classes, on Saturday and Sunday. The course duration for the foundation course is 2 months (2 hours a week for 10 weeks, or 20 hours total). This course is an introduction to Latin partner dancing and is for complete beginners. Participants will be taught the foundation for Salsa and Bachata.
Creative Director Alex Diaz, launches Furor in Banglore early 2009 – to bring his vision of transforming the Salsa Scene in India, with structured progressive studio classes and fun socials in the best veneues the city.
At the bookend of 2009, Furor launched in Hyderabad with a splash, and by Jan of 2010 started regular weekend studio classes for Salsa, and Salsa Socials on Saturday nights at Spoil – the hottest club in town at that time. Missing the dancing he did in Bangalore, Rishikesh Chhabra, brought Furor to Hyderabad to continue the journey.
When team member Jayvir Mehta returns to his hometown, he brings Furor’s brand of Authentic Salsa with him and with that we established our presence in a third city in India.
Almost in parallel, the seeds of Furor in Pune was sown and finally launched officially in March 2016. In their own words –
“Furor Pune was established in 2013, earlier under the brand name enMotion Pune by Yatin Ranade and Supreme Kaur Bhamra.
In 2016 we became a branch of India’s leading Salsa Academy, Furor Entertainment Bangalore, owned by India’s top and best dancer & teacher, Alex Diaz.”
In 2020 with the global pandemic putting a damper on in-person classes, Furor rises up to the challenge and launches online classes – primarily from the Bangalore Studio, but also with the Furor instructors in the other cities. Currently online classes are still available with a hybrid model from the Bangalore Studio.
Furor Launches in it’s fifth city, cementing our position as India’s largest Salsa and Latin Dance Academy – with workshops, and classes in Gurgaon being taught by Pummy Kumari who first trained with Furor in Hyderabad and later with Alex before starting her own classes.

We specialise Salsa, Bachata, and related Latin Partnered Dances, and in Hyderabad we also teach West Coast Swing. Classes are available for Absolute Beginners and experienced dancers alike. You don’t need a partner nor do you need any dance experience to join any of our beginner classes.
Beginner Latin Classes will cover both Salsa & Bachata. Classes are conducted on weekends in batches with Latin in the morning and Swing (WCS) in the evening.

Furor Entertainment’s performance team has traveled internationally to various Salsa congresses and world events to represent India.
Furor Entertainment with its presence and participation in the global arena has been host to various famous, foreign artists from around the world.
Furor delivery quality instruction and have a clear syllabus of instruction and trained instructors that understand dance and are passionate about teaching. Our instructors are friendly, sincere, and have strong communication skills and a knack for building rapport with the class. In addition, we have a commitment to delivering value and provide a holistic experience that goes beyond the classroom or workout session.
Furor is a Bangalore based dance academy. We have been teaching Latin and other dance forms in Bangalore since 2008 and currently offer a compelling array of courses at our HQ located in Bangalore, Koramangala. Furor also pioneered the concept of Salsa Socials in Bangalore and was instrumental in helping creating a robust dance scene in the city through its regular weekly parties that has been running un-interrupted for the last decade.
